What are small business calculators?
Small business calculators are simple online tools that turn figures an owner already knows, such as weekly calls or average job value, into costs, returns and break-even points.
The two here answer different questions:
- Missed call calculator: what unanswered calls are worth to you each month and year.
- AI voice agent ROI calculator: which plan fits your calls and whether it pays for itself.
RingOut built both around the plans we sell, so every price they use is current and shown without GST in Australian dollars. They suit owners deciding whether Miya, our AI receptionist, is worth a try; neither needs an account, and the figures you enter stay in your browser.
Getting a useful answer from the numbers
Four short steps take you from rough guesses to a figure you can act on.
- 1
Gather a normal week
Pull call records and invoices for an ordinary week so the inputs reflect regular trade.
- 2
Run the missed call figures
See how much revenue and profit sits in calls you are not answering today.
- 3
Check the plan and return
Move to the ROI calculator to price the plan those calls would need and weigh it against the value.
- 4
Test a busier week
Raise the inputs to match your peak season and see whether the suggested plan or the return changes.
Questions about the calculators
Are the RingOut calculators free to use?
Yes. Both calculators are free, need no account and run entirely in your browser, so the figures you enter are not stored or sent anywhere. You can come back and run them again whenever your call volume or prices change.
Which calculator should I start with?
Start with the missed call calculator if you want a quick figure for lost revenue. Use the ROI calculator when you are ready to compare a specific plan, including extra minutes and add-ons, with the time and jobs it could return.
Do the calculators use RingOut's current prices?
Yes. They use the figures on our pricing page, from Starter at $49 a month up to Business at $699, all in Australian dollars ex GST, along with each plan's extra minute rate and the add-on prices for numbers and lines.
Can I save or share my results?
Not yet. Results are not saved, so note them down or take a screenshot before you leave the page. If you book a demo, bring the figures along and we'll work through them with you on the call.
What is ROI in this context?
ROI here is the net return from a RingOut plan: the value of time and jobs minus the plan cost, divided by that cost and shown as a percentage. A result above zero means the plan brings in more than it costs each month.
