Why would a smash repairer use an AI answering service?
+
It answers your shop phone while the team is working, books damage assessments, records the insurer, claim number, make, model and rego, requests photos for private quotes, and answers towing and courtesy car questions from your notes. Drivers get booked before they ring another repairer.
Will it tell drivers whether they are covered or at fault?
+
No. Miya never comments on fault, liability or whether an insurer will cover the damage. Those questions are passed to the driver's insurer or your team. She records the claim details accurately so your estimators and the insurer have what they need.
Can it give repair quotes?
+
Only fixed fees you have listed. For everything else, Miya asks the driver to text photos of the damage and records the area and size, so your estimator can provide a guide or book a proper assessment. She never estimates the cost of a repair herself.
What happens if someone calls from the accident scene?
+
If anyone is hurt, or there is fire or fuel leaking, Miya tells the caller to move to safety and ring 000 first. Once everyone is looked after, she can help with towing information and book an assessment for the car.
Does it connect to repair management software?
+
Not yet. Assessment times are kept in Google Calendar or Calendly, while RingOut logs the claim and vehicle details from every call for entry into your repair management system. Estimators can then review the photos and claim number together before the car arrives.
What does it cost a smash repair shop?
+
Most repair shops pick the Growth plan, $149 monthly, giving 250 minutes and call recordings, which helps with claim details. Smaller shops can start on Starter at $49 for 60 minutes. All pricing is AUD excluding GST, with free setup and no minimum term.
