What can an AI answering service for roofers handle?
+
It answers your phone through storms and busy seasons, works out whether a roof is leaking right now, books inspections and quotes by area, and records the roof type, storeys, damage and access. Active leaks go to you first, so nothing urgent waits behind routine enquiries.
How does it cope when a storm hits?
+
Miya answers several callers at the same moment, from 2 on Starter up to 12 on Business, so storm calls are answered rather than queued. Many roofers step up to Professional or Business during storm season, then move back down when the weather settles.
What safety advice does it give callers?
+
Only the basics you would want said. Every caller is told not to climb onto the roof. Anyone facing a collapsing ceiling, water near electrics or an injury is told to ring 000, and callers needing storm help are given the SES number, 132 500.
Can it record insurance claim details?
+
Yes. Miya asks whether the caller is claiming on insurance and records the insurer and claim number with the booking, so your report can reference it. She never comments on whether damage will be covered. The booking notes also capture when the damage happened and what the caller has already reported.
Does it connect to roofing or job software?
+
Not yet. Each inspection goes into Google Calendar or Calendly, and a summary of every call is stored in RingOut. Most roofers transfer the confirmed jobs into their own system once a day. Each summary lists the roof type, storeys, damage and access, so moving it across takes moments.
What is the cost of an AI answering service for roofers?
+
Starter begins at $49 per month and includes 60 minutes. Roofers often sit on Growth at $149 through quiet months, then step up to Professional at $399 when storms are forecast. Prices are AUD excluding GST, with no setup cost. You can switch plans as the seasons change.
