What does an AI receptionist for restaurants do?
+
It answers your phone during service, books tables by party size and time, records occasions and dietary notes, takes group and function enquiries, and answers menu, hours, BYO and parking questions from your notes. Staff stay with guests instead of leaving the floor to answer calls.
Is it the same as a restaurant answering service?
+
It does the same job, with one difference. A traditional restaurant answering service takes messages for you to return. RingOut books the table during the call, captures group details in full and answers common questions immediately, for a flat monthly fee.
How does it handle allergy questions?
+
Carefully. Miya never states that a dish suits an allergy or intolerance. She records the allergy on the booking and passes the question to your kitchen team to answer. Anyone describing a severe allergic reaction is told to ring 000.
Can it take group and function bookings?
+
Yes. Miya records the date, numbers, occasion and any budget, explains your set menu and deposit policy as you have written them, and sends the enquiry to your function manager to confirm. Simple groups within your rules can be booked directly.
Does it connect to restaurant booking platforms?
+
Not yet. Tables are recorded in Google Calendar or Calendly, and every booking call is summarised in RingOut, so staff can add it to your restaurant booking system before service or between sittings. If you only need a daily list, the calendar view may be enough on its own.
How much does an AI receptionist for restaurants cost?
+
A small bistro can begin with Starter, $49 a month for 60 minutes. Busier restaurants usually opt for Growth at $149, with 250 minutes, recordings and four calls at once during service. GST is added to these prices, and setting up costs nothing.
