How does an AI receptionist work for a pub?
+
Miya answers the venue phone on busy nights, books bistro tables by size and time, captures birthday, wake and work function enquiries for your functions team, and answers kitchen hours, trivia, live music, kids and 18+ area questions from your notes. Staff stay behind the bar and on the floor.
Can it take function bookings?
+
Miya records the date, number of guests, occasion, room preference and package interest, then sends the enquiry to your functions team to confirm availability and pricing. She explains minimum spends and deposits only as your function menu describes them. Smaller groups that fit your bistro rules can be booked straight away.
How does it handle kids and 18+ rules?
+
Exactly as your venue writes them. Miya explains when kids are welcome in the bistro, which areas are 18+ and any ID requirements, and never makes exceptions. Questions outside your notes are passed to the duty manager. Public holiday trading hours are answered once they are in your notes.
Will it promise drinks or alcohol service?
+
No. Miya never promises alcohol service, holds drinks or comments on responsible service decisions, which always stay with your licensed staff. Anyone reporting a fight, injury or someone unwell at the venue is told to call 000. Licensing questions go to the duty manager.
Does it connect to venue booking platforms?
+
Not yet. Google Calendar or Calendly can hold your bistro tables, with RingOut noting each pub call with party size, occasion and function details, ready for your booking platform if you use one. Many venues update their booking platform before each service.
How much does an AI receptionist for pubs cost?
+
A local pub typically runs Growth at $149 monthly, with 250 minutes and recordings. Busy venues with regular functions often choose Professional at $399, which answers eight calls at once. Pub plans exclude GST and setup costs nothing. Plans can move up for grand final weekends and back down afterwards.
