What does an AI receptionist for psychology practices do?
+
Miya answers the practice phone while your psychologists and counsellors are in session, takes simple intake details and the referral type, books sessions with the right practitioner, explains fees and referral options from your notes and gives crisis lines whenever a caller needs them.
Will it ask callers about their mental health?
+
No. Intake is limited to name, contact details, referral type, practitioner preference and availability. Miya never asks why someone is seeking help, never discusses symptoms and never assesses risk. Those conversations belong in sessions with your practitioners. This keeps the first phone contact simple for someone who may be anxious about calling.
What happens if a caller is in crisis?
+
Miya stops any booking discussion and gives 000 for immediate danger and Lifeline on 13 11 14, which is available any time. She then lets the practice know the person called so your team can follow up under your own procedures.
Can it explain Medicare rebates and referrals?
+
From your wording only. Miya can explain your session fees, how a Mental Health Treatment Plan from a GP works with Medicare rebates, and your NDIS or EAP arrangements. Eligibility and gap questions are passed to your team to confirm.
Can it link with our practice management system?
+
Not yet. Sessions are kept in Google Calendar or Calendly for practices that use them, and RingOut records a minimal note of each call, ready for your team to enter into the practice system. Your team decides what, if anything, goes into the clinical record.
How much does an AI receptionist for psychology practice cost?
+
Solo practitioners usually start on Starter, $49 monthly with 60 minutes. Group practices tend to choose Growth at $149, which covers 250 minutes and adds call recordings. Prices exclude GST. There is no setup fee, and the plan can be stopped at any time.
