What does an AI receptionist for pharmacy teams do?
+
It answers your pharmacy phone, books vaccinations and clinic services, takes script-ready, repeat and stock enquiries as messages for the pharmacist, and answers hours, delivery and parking questions from your notes. Pharmacists can stay with patients at the counter instead of breaking off to answer routine calls.
Will it give advice about medicines?
+
No, never. Miya does not advise on medicines, doses, interactions, side effects or symptoms. Every medicine question is passed to a pharmacist as a message. Anyone worried about a poisoning is given the Poisons Information Centre number, 13 11 26, and emergencies go to 000.
Can it tell customers if their script is ready?
+
No. Miya cannot see your dispensing system, so she records the customer's name, date of birth and medicine as a message for the pharmacist, who confirms and contacts them. This keeps every script conversation with your registered staff and out of guesswork.
Which vaccinations can it book?
+
Only the vaccinations and clinic services you list in your setup, with the eligibility notes you write, such as minimum age. Miya books them into your calendar and records contact details, while any question about suitability is passed to the pharmacist.
Does it connect to dispensing software?
+
Not yet. Vaccination slots are managed in Google Calendar or Calendly, and each script or stock message is summarised in RingOut, so your team can action it in the dispensary system between customers. Vaccination bookings are already in the calendar, so only script and stock messages need actioning.
How much does an AI receptionist for pharmacy cost?
+
Smaller pharmacies can start with the $49 Starter plan, which includes 60 minutes. Most community pharmacies choose Growth, $149 monthly with 250 minutes and call recordings, and high-volume stores often use Professional at $399. GST is extra, and there is nothing to pay for setup.
