What does an AI receptionist for electricians do?
+
It answers your calls while you are on a job, checks fault calls for danger, books routine work and records quote details. Compared with an answering service for electricians that only passes on messages, Miya books the job and sends urgent faults to you with the details.
How does it handle dangerous electrical calls?
+
Every fault call starts with safety questions about sparks, smoke, heat, burning smells and shocks. Anyone describing danger is told to keep clear and ring 000 straight away, and anyone reporting a fallen powerline is told to stay at least eight metres back.
Can it tell a power outage from a fault?
+
Miya asks whether neighbours have also lost power and records the answer. If it sounds like a wider outage, she suggests checking the distributor's outage page and still passes the details to you. She does not name the cause of any fault.
Will it quote for switchboards or EV chargers?
+
Only fixed prices you have written down. For larger jobs Miya records the property type, switchboard location and age, distance to the garage and photos sent by text, so you can price the work without a long call back. Any fixed fee you list for a quote visit is mentioned before it is booked.
Does it connect to my job management app?
+
Not yet. Confirmed jobs land in Google Calendar or Calendly, with a written summary of each call in your RingOut dashboard. Most electricians transfer that day's jobs into their own app in a short evening session, and because each summary lists the fault, address and timing, it is quick.
How much does an AI receptionist for electricians cost?
+
The Starter plan is $49 monthly with 60 minutes included. Electrical businesses usually choose Growth at $149, with 250 minutes and call recordings. Every price is in AUD and excludes GST; you pay nothing to set up and can leave at any time. Plans can change each month to match busy and quiet seasons.
