Why would a concreter use an AI answering service?
+
Because the phone rings while you are pouring. Miya records each driveway, slab or path by area, finish and access, asks for photos, books site measures and explains how rain affects pour dates. Quote requests are complete when you call back, and no job goes to another concreter.
Will it give quotes over the phone?
+
Only set rates you list, such as a price per square metre for a standard finish. Most jobs need a measure or plans, so Miya records the area, finish, removal of old concrete and access, then books a measure. She never prices a job sight unseen.
How does it handle rain and pour-day questions?
+
From your policy. Miya explains when you check the forecast and when customers will hear about changes, and records requests to move a pour for the crew. She never confirms a pour herself unless your notes tell her what to say.
Can it capture slab and engineering details?
+
Yes. For slabs and shed bases Miya records dimensions, intended use and whether engineering plans exist, then asks the customer to email them. Technical questions about thickness, reinforcement or drainage are passed to your team. Miya never guesses an engineering answer.
Does it connect to quoting software?
+
Not yet. Measures go straight into your Google Calendar or Calendly diary, while RingOut keeps a note of each enquiry with area, finish and access for your quoting tool. Old concrete to remove, drainage and any photos the customer texts are noted alongside.
What does it cost a concreting business?
+
Owner-operators often run on Starter for $49 a month, which covers an hour of calls. Busy crews usually pick Growth at $149, adding 250 minutes and recordings. GST applies on top, setup is free and plans can change each month.
