The difference

Every chair booked, with no clippers put down.

A barbershop phone rings most when every chair is full. Miya takes those calls for you.

Without RingOut

  • Calls ignored mid-cut or mid-fade
  • Clients book at the shop down the road
  • The same price and hours questions all day
  • Regulars miss out on their usual barber
  • No-show slots stay empty

With RingOut

  • The phone picked up without stopping a cut
  • Bookings made while the client is on the line
  • Prices and hours answered from your list
  • Regulars booked with the barber they trust
  • Freed chairs offered to the next caller

How calls are handled

Every barbershop call lands somewhere useful.

Miya books, answers shop questions, or takes a message for the owner.

A live hand-over to a barber is on the product roadmap. For now, owner messages reach the dashboard when each call finishes.

Real call examples

Three barbershop calls, as heard.

A fade booking, a walk-in question and a family booking.

Tuesday 9:15 amBooked

A skin fade with a regular barber

A client wants his usual barber on Friday.

Read the call

Miya: Karri Barber Co, Miya speaking. Booking a cut?

Caller: Yeah, a skin fade with Marco on Friday.

Miya: Marco has 5:30 pm free on Friday. Want me to lock it in?

Caller: Yes please.

Miya: Locked in. Just a heads up, the shop holds bookings for 10 minutes if you are running late.

Saturday 8:20 amAnswered

A walk-in question

A caller wants to know if he can just turn up.

Read the call

Caller: Can I just walk in this morning?

Miya: Walk-ins are welcome, but Saturday mornings are busy. I can book you a set time so you skip the wait.

Caller: Go on then, 11 am?

Miya: 11 am is yours with the next free barber.

Thursday 6:10 pmBooked

A father and son cut

A dad wants two cuts together on Saturday.

Read the call

Caller: Can I book me and my son in together on Saturday?

Miya: We have 10 am and 10:30 am back to back. Would that work?

Caller: That is great.

Miya: Booked. A kids cut is $25, as per the shop price list.

No promised waits

She never guarantees a walk-in wait time, and offers a booking instead.

Says it is AI

Right at the start, clients hear that Miya is artificial intelligence, and the owner can always ring back.

Stored in Sydney

Saved recordings and booking notes stay on Sydney servers.

US speech providers

Speech from live calls passes through US providers and is never retained there.

Calendar links

FAQ

AI answering service for barbershops FAQs.

Why use an AI answering service for barbershops?

It answers the shop phone while you are cutting, books cuts, fades, beard trims and kids cuts with the barber a client asks for, and answers questions about walk-ins, opening hours and prices from your notes. Clients get booked on the first call rather than trying the shop down the street.

How does it handle walk-in questions?

Miya explains your walk-in policy in your own words and offers a booked time if the caller would rather not wait. She never promises a specific wait, because she cannot see who is in the chairs, so she suggests a booking when the shop is usually busy.

Can clients book their usual barber?

Yes. You set which services each barber offers and how long each takes, and Miya books regulars with the barber they ask for. If that barber is fully booked, she offers their next free time or another barber, depending on what the client prefers.

Can it explain our late and no-show policy?

Yes, word for word from your setup, such as how long a booking is held and whether a no-show fee applies. When clients cancel or run late, Miya logs it straight away so the chair can be offered to someone else.

Does it connect to barbershop booking apps?

Not yet. For now bookings land in Google Calendar or Calendly, and RingOut lists each call with the client, barber, service and time. Some shops run on the calendar alone, while others copy bookings into their own app at close. Either way, every booking also shows in your dashboard.

What will a barbershop pay for this service?

A one or two chair shop can run on Starter for $49 a month with 60 minutes. Shops with several chairs generally choose Growth, which is $149 a month with call recordings and 250 minutes. Every price is AUD before GST, setup is free and there is no contract to sign.

Finish the fade. Miya books the next chair.

In a short demo, Miya books a skin fade with a named barber and answers a walk-in question.

  • Walk-ins answered.No promised waits.
  • Same number.Clients ring as usual.
